Hermelin starts a vegetable garden. Surely it can't be that hard. But that's without counting the moles, the aphids and the slugs! Luckily, Lapin keeps watch... Hermelin and Lapin are neighbors and friends: Hermelin is devoted and patient, Lapin is more of a bon vivant. When they start a vegetable garden together, Hermelin digs, sows, waters, encourages the seedlings, coddles the shoots... while Lapin watches and approves. When the first radishes appear, Lapin gives in: one night, he gobbles up the whole harvest. In the morning, Hermelin blames the pigeons. Emboldened, Lapin soon goes after the lettuces...
