Becoming stupid and mean is something you learn! There's even a school for it. A school where all the values we know in our human world are turned upside down: it's forbidden to raise your hand to answer, to study at home in the evening or to arrive at school on time. The little monsters at this school make the most of it, except Boloss, a clever, gentle and sensitive little monster who can't follow these rules, which seem a bit unnatural to him. He would so love to be kind and learn to read and write. Which of course makes him the dunce of the class and his parents' shame.
